THE ETERNAL FLAME
My soul has been touched by her fire,
And I shall never be the same.
As Eloise or Shibar, in darkness or light,
She burns an eternal flame.
Her movements tell a story, that began so long ago.
Of wisdom, of virtue, of ecstasy – of a truth we all know.
She weaves for us a tale, spinning into infinity.
The crowd surrounds her, in awe, fascinated by
Her divinity. She inspires us all, through the
power of her dance. Breathing passion and fire
she pulls us into her trance.…As the music subsides,
the pulse retains its heavy beat.
Ruptured applause breaks the spell,
As she returns to her feet. There’s more to life then this day-to-day,
As the eternal flame will show
Illuminated by dance, rhythm, and passion,
Our own light and love will grow.My torch has been lit by your fire,
And I shall never be the same.
Shibar, we are graced by your presence,
And your glowing, Eternal Flame.- Lisa

DARK SHELIA
Shelia Dark Shelia
What is it that you're seeing
What is it that you're seeing
That you're seeing in the fireI see a lad that loves me
And I see a lad that leaves me
And a third lad, a shadow lad
And he's the lad that grieves me.- An Old Irish Ballad
PENNSIC FEVER
The populace to Pennsic presses on
With due determination and desire.
We gather goods and gear and garb to don
To face the fantasy that fans the fire
Of creation called anachronistic fun.
With worthwhile work our way is well inspired.
With palm and pen and poem and pungent pun,
We'll tell tales, entrance and trigger ire
As wild and wooly warriors whack upon
Their foe for fealty (or for fair hire)
By day we'll barter and anon
May drum and dance nigh dawn ere we retire.
Such sweet pursuits, such sights we soon shall see
Pray, pack your poke, at Pennsic we must be!

DENIZENS OF DARK
With fulsome feasting done at end of day
With children set to slip away to sleep
The denizens of dark come out to play
Aroused by distant drums a'thudding deep.
A bearded bard tells tale to titillate
Where gentles 'round a warming fire attend
And pour him brew he doth appreciate
As weary warriors catch their second wind.
They then may wandering, or a'wenching go
To celebrate a goodly victory
Or wash away all loss or feelings low
In the wondrous wine of merry company.
Though most a bed, or two, may drop upon,
This son shall set when sun doth rise, at dawn

TWILIGHT TASTE OF NEW SUNSET
Twilight taste-full moon had kissed
Occluded sun farewell, empowered
The tempting eve that held our tryst.
Horizon sun's red fruit devoured.
Every color danced the dusk
O'erhead as time, discreetly, flowed
No faster than could rise the musk
Ecstatic love to heaven rode.
Entranced twixt earth and purpling sky -
Yearning within the starry arc.
Each point a sacred twinkling eye
Looking with us to embark
Upon the final lover's quest -
Veiled no longer but full flowered.

WILDHEART'S LULLABY
Strongly, longingly, I feel alive.
Loving the evening I slip from the hive.
O li la lily, O lily lulay
O li la lily, O lily lulay
Abuzz in your garden, I am a bee
Making this song for you just like honey
O li la lily, O lily lulay
O li la lily, O lily lulay
It's made of sips light from the sweet scented night flowers
I found drifting and dreaming in your arms these hours
O li la lily, O lily lulay
O li la lily, O lily lulay

THE SCENT OF MYRRH
Spinning,
Whirling,
Scent of Myrrh.
Goddess
Draped in
Gossamer.
Veiling,
Unveiling,
Glimpse of her
Face hidden,
Unhidden,
In a blur.
Cascading,
Illuminating
Voluptuous contours.
Exquisite
Jewel encrusted
Alabaster curves.
Trembling,
Rolling,
Hypnotic lure.
Arms twining,
Untwining,
Serpents who adore
Slow Rhythm,
Undulation,
Descending to the floor.
Invoking
Web woven,
Ancient Sacred Whore.
Ecstatic
Gestures open,
Secret hidden door.
Transcending,
Ascending,
Wishing there was more!
Taxim resolving,
Silk revolving,
Final glimpse of her
Face smiling,
Air shining
And the deep dark scent of Myrrh.
